Beginnings…

Hi there! My name is Matthew and I am the founder of MathPrep LLC.

I began my career in Finance by attending Columbia University graduating with my Bachelor’s Degree in International Political Economics in 2007. I then went on to work at multiple leading financial firms on Wall Street as an Energy Futures Trader and Broker/Equity Trader. My professional experience working on Wall Street was rewarding, but not fulfilling. I knew deep down that what I really wanted was to help people - to see them grow. It was in 2012 that I decided to quit the rat race I had grown so accustomed to and form my own consulting business - SecuritiesPrep LLC™ - a company dedicated to helping others pass their upcoming FINRA exams, just as I had done for my FINRA Series 3, 7, 55 and 63 exams (achieving 90%+ on all four, first try). Before the end of my very first tutoring session, I knew in my heart that I had found my passion. It was this passion that drove me to continue to tutor for many years, and eventually, in 2018, to start another consulting company, which would later become MathPrep LLC™.

Both SecuritiesPrep LLC™ and MathPrep LLC™ are founded on the same great principles which I apply to teaching - dedication, work-ethic, and perseverance.
