Meet Our Tutors
Sean has been teaching the LSAT since 2003 and the GMAT and GRE since 2011. Sean attended Columbia Law School in the City of New York and scored a 174 on the LSAT putting him in the elite 99th percentile. He has written a book on the most challenging Logical Reasoning questions in LSAT history as well as practice materials for the GMAT and GRE Quantitative Sections. He has also taught Russian and European History while getting his masters at the University of California at Berkeley. He has lived most of his life in New York City, and in addition to teaching has worked there as a stand-up comedian, comedy club manager, and bike messenger, and now volunteers as the latter to deliver food during the Covid-19 pandemic. Sean also enjoys traveling and has done archival research in Moscow and studied Muai Thai in Phucket.

Anna Kuritzkes
Anna Kuritzkes graduated from Harvard University summa cum laude with a degree in History & Literature and a minor in Government. She is a published author whose work has been featured in The Times of Israel, The Harvard Crimson, and Exposé, the journal of the Harvard College writing program. She has previously worked as an expository writing teaching fellow and curriculum developer for a writing tutoring company that offers courses for elementary, middle, and high school students. In this role, she helped high school students hone their analytical skills, argumentation, essay structure, and style, and, in collaboration with other team members, built new comprehensive, skills-based programs and modules for students seeking to improve their writing. Her passion for expository writing and insight into argument style and structure has made her an excellent candidate to tutor students taking the LSAT, an exam that fundamentally tests students’ ability to understand logic and decipher written arguments. Having recently taken the exam herself and scored a 172 puts her in the 98th percentile. Anna is well prepared to help students master this difficult exam.
Ilana graduated from Columbia University with a degree in philosophy, and has worked in various industries, including IT Administration, Sales Management, and Education. She has taught students from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade in a classroom setting, and various college and post-graduate subjects in a one-on-one setting. She also takes time out of her schedule to work pro bono with students from immigrant families. Her extensive experience with tutoring children and adults online has yielded great success. She is kind, patient and personable, and makes even the most complicated subject matter relatable. Illana is available to tutor adults, teens, and children in mathematics grades K-8, including High School Algebra 1 and 2.
Ilana Barkey
Michael graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in mathematics. His subject matter specialty is anything math related. He enjoys spending his time boudlering and mountain climbing. He understands that mathematics is a cumulative endeavor. He will find the gaps in your learning, and correct them leaving you with an unhindered path toward future success in your math related studies.
